Damage & Lost Pieces
Damage & Lost Pieces
- What happens if a toy gets damaged? We know that "play" can sometimes get a little rowdy—that's a sign of a well-loved toy! At Playcycle, we distinguish between expected wear and tear and significant damage:
- Normal Wear & Tear (No Charge): Minor scuffs on wooden blocks, slight scratches on plastic, or fading from normal use are all part of the game. You will never be charged for these.
- Significant Damage: If a toy is returned broken in a way that poses a safety risk (e.g., cracked wood with splinters, broken electronics, or snapped plastic) or renders the toy unplayable, a replacement fee may apply. This is typically capped at the retail cost of the toy.
-
Missing Pieces: We know puzzle pieces and building blocks love to hide under sofas! If a piece is missing, we give you a "Grace Period"—we'll send you a reminder, and you can simply return the piece with your next month's swap. If a vital piece is permanently lost, we may charge a small nominal fee (usually $2–$5) to replace that specific part.

Our Tip: We recommend keeping your PlayCycle toys in their designated box when not in use. This makes "swap day" a breeze and keeps all the bits and bobs together!
The Playcycle "Peace of Mind" Damage Waiver
Price: $5 / month/ toy (Optional Add-on)
At Playcycle, we want your children to explore, experiment, and play without boundaries. We know that sometimes, "scientific exploration" leads to a cracked wooden block or a snapped plastic gear.
By opting into our Peace of Mind Damage Waiver, you are covered for accidental mishaps that go beyond normal wear and tear.
What's Covered?
- Accidental Breakage: If a toy is accidentally snapped, cracked, or broken during normal play, you won't be charged a replacement fee.
- Electronic Malfunctions: Coverage for internal damage to electronic toys (spills or drops).
-
Stains & Marks: Coverage for permanent ink, paint, or food stains that cannot be removed by our standard cleaning process.

What's NOT Covered?
- Lost or Missing Toys: The waiver does not cover the loss of the entire toy or the primary unit.
- Missing Vital Pieces: Small missing parts (like a single puzzle piece) are still subject to our "Grace Period" and nominal replacement fee if permanently lost.
- Intentional Damage or Misuse: Damage caused by using toys outdoors (unless specified), immersion in water, or intentional destruction.
- Negligence: Damage caused by pets (chewing) or improper storage.
How it works: If a toy is damaged, simply snap a photo and send it to our WhatsApp team. Keep the pieces in your swap bag, and we will replace the toy in your next cycle at no extra cost to you.
